Services/Programs
- Let us help you plan your neighborhood block party. Proceeds support the ongoing efforts of Block Party San Diego and Big Animals for Little Kids. Block Party Planning and Assistance, block parties are a fun and inexpensive way for neighbors to get to know each other and to connect to their community. The act of celebrating community on the neighborhood block serves as a catalyst for lasting and powerful relationships between neighbors that lead to improved health, security, and safety in neighborhoods.
Block Party Package Services Include:
- Big Animal Package$75/hour
- Face Painting or Button Making
- Big Animals for photo opportunities
- plus either activity$25/hour
- Total Block Party Package (for est. 75 ppl)$500
- Block Party San Diego will provide the hotdogs and condiments while encouraging residents to bring a dish to share (We do not serve alcoholic beverages during our block parties)
- does not include ropes course, button making, entertainment, or cotton candy machine
- must waive liability

- Concession Stand Package $100/hour
- Complete Application (including Petition) $55

- Asset Mapping and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to track Block Parties and other social capital indicators.
- Advocate for streamlined Block Party Permit Process and other neighborhood building initiatives.
- Advocate for safer and more walk-able streets by supporting local neighborhood initiatives and dialogue.
